Low Fat, Low Carb Iced Cappuccino

So it is finally starting to warm up a little here in Newfoundland. My friends and family have been drinking Iced Cappuccinos from Tim Hortons and since I follow a low carb diet, don’t get to have these tasty treats. I can make my own though, and you can, too…and save on calories! A large Iced Capp from Tim Hortons has a whopping 470 calories! My version, if using the same ingredients as me, has 25 calories. Here is the recipe:

Low Fat, Low Carb Iced Cappuccino

  • 1 cup of coffee, chilled
  • 1 cup of unsweetened cashew milk (can substitute with almond, coconut, or any type you want)
  • 1 cup of ice cubes
  • Sugar free vanilla syrup to desired sweetness (or any other flavour you’d like). I used Starbucks Sugar-free Vanilla.
  • Blender

Brew your favourite coffee. I brewed mine in my Keurig on the strong setting because the ice waters it down a little. Put it in the fridge to chill.

When the coffee is chilled, add your milk of choice, ice cubes, and syrup to your blender.  I used a Nutribullet.

That’s it! Simple, isn’t it? Of course you will have to play around with it and adjust amounts used to get it to your liking. You can also use decaf coffee if you are sensitive to caffeine or would like a late night treat.


Here are the macros:

25 calories, 1g carb (net), 1g protein, 2g fat

the size would be compared to a large Tim Hortons Iced Capp which has:

470 calories, 63g carbs(net), 4g protein, 20g fat

Give it a try! I find it tastes amazingly similar!

  1. Oh wow its so good! I used 2 tablespoons of Hersheys sugar free syrup instead of the vanilla, that adds 10 calories and a small shot of Skinny Girl Stevia, used my bullet …. makes enough for 2 people, so divide the 40 in 1/2 and you have a great 20 cal drink!
